Feel like it is our second home!! We have been going there around 8 years! We find it is "Decisions, decisions, oh what will we do? Go to the beach or swim in the pool?? Will we go to the beach at Harding, Lighthouse or Oyster Pond? Should we take a Whale boat, Pirate ship or sailboat today. How about some ice cream at School House-so many choices oh what will it be?? Then there is shopping in Chatham or Hyannis too. Look for T-shirts, jewelry or bright clothes at Lilly. How about a game of golf or baseball too. Eat plenty of lobsters, clams or fish too. Do we go to the Squire or somewhere else? There's plenty of choices so plan ahead early!! Maybe we should enjoy the beautiful deck and bring food home. We have Pate's or Mac's Chatham Fish and Lobster nearby!! Now what do we choose??? If hungry for breakfast let's go to the Airport but get there early!! Decisions, decisions! We find staying at 4 John Gilpin Lane is our very BEST one!!

Great House Year after Year
4th time renting this property...we love it! The new couches are great! Looking forward to coming back next summer!

gilpin house
The house is big and plentiful, however tough with toddlers (ages1-3) because the stairs are steep and no gates. We ordered gates from Chatham Concierge but they didn't work with this type of stair case. I can see how this house would be great for the 4 and up crowd. Pool in the neighborhood was a big hit and great location near Mac's seafood. Also a quick drive to Harding's beach. terrific having the laundry room near the side entrance and great back yard for playing games. Overall a very functional house.

Best vacation yet!
We’ve been renting 4 John Gilpin for years now. My kids have grown up over the years vacationing on the Cape and staying at “Gilpy” as we refer to it. There is plenty of space for all of us, especially now that our kids are marrying. We love the deck and backyard. Always have a game of bocce or corn hole going. The kitchen is well appointed - I’m able to cook our Sunday sauce and macaroni! The house is centrally located so it’s an easy drive to the center of town, beaches, and the many restaurants. Having the pool is nice when you just want to relax and take a dip any time of day. Did I mention the tennis courts…some hard fought battles have been played on those courts. I have to say that Gilpy feels like our second home!
